We are looking for a part-time consultant to design the growth loops for a live social app. The client is a US startup. The product is pre-launch. You design the strategy and break it into work packages. Our engineering team builds it.

What the work actually is

Two loops, and a notification system that serves both.

The return loop: why someone opens the app again today, and what tells them to. The invite loop: why someone brings a friend in, and what makes that worth doing. Across push, in-app, email and invitations.

Requirements

Product experience in social apps.

Products with a social graph, where notifications are generated by what other users do: following, live sessions, content from other people, invitations.

Live streaming and social audio, creator platforms, communities, dating, or mobile games with social mechanics all count. Our client has interviewed strong product people without this background and turned them down. We would rather say it now than at the end of a process.

• Notification craft: opt-in rates, segmentation, timing, frequency fatigue

• Referral or invite mechanics you built and measured

• Working with PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Braze, Iterable, OneSignal, Customer.io, Branch, AppsFlyer or Adjust

• Deferred deep linking
